Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Here our Elementary our students are full of adventure and always seek growth opportunities. This is a school that serves a transformation zone (TZ) community that falls under the category of Title I. The students that attend this school are full of laughter, creativity, and willingness to achieve new educational goals.

As a physical education teacher, I hope to bring innovative teaching into the curriculum to provide the very best learning experience for the students.

Funding is limited within our department so using Donors Choose is an excellent opportunity to bring equipment in we normally wouldn't be able to purchase with the budget allotted. Our students are excited for this year and as a teacher, I hope to provide them with ample pathways to success!

My Project

Our students should have the chance to develop critical fitness Currently, at our school, we don't have a lot of fitness equipment. These items would be fabulous for our students!

With the dumbbells, pedometers, pulse bars and other equipment, students could develop their exercise skills along with their understanding the concepts.

Many of the current resources provided at our school aren't geared towards fitness achievement. This project would help students succeed not only in sports and physical health but help with their cognitive skills. If the students were to learn fitness skills and concepts at school they would be able to integrate them into their lives outside of school. Life-long skills would also be developed in the sense that they will learn to enjoy fitness and overall health.
