During the 19-20 school year we were converted from a Pk-5 elementary school to a PK-6 school which presented its fair share of challenges. We added a whole slew of new students, sports programs, clubs, and even added a new educational STEAM program.
We jumped from a D the previous school year to an A school rating and most notably became a beacon of hope when schools closed by taking on the huge task of converting to eLearning.
We met every challenge head-on without hesitation, but now we need your help to bring a new program to light for our students.
A year without a yearbook is like a year forgotten for these kids and as they move up, some move away and some forget about all those wonderful memories that took place throughout the year. What better way to remember all those great times dunking the PE teacher in a splash tank, that field trip to the zoo, making rockets with your STEM teacher or even scoring that winning goal than with a yearbook. Although we were eLearning the last three months of the school year we still managed to pull our yearbook together. It took a monumental effort from our entire staff, a ton of cell phone photos, budgets being pulled and then brought back but we still managed to make it happen for our students.
Your donation will ensure my students are not starved of creativity but instead fed a heaping dose of let’s make awesome art!
The ability to capture all those precious moments and put together an amazing yearbook will showcase all their hard work, grit and most importantly their creativity. Help us lay that groundwork for a tradition of fantastic yearbooks. One professional camera to get us started is all we need; the rest will come as we grow. Help me open some doors so these kids can explore photography, creative writing and digital publishing.
