We created a classroom hygiene station in each bathroom (boys and girls) where students can discreetly access items when needed. One special moment was during a class discussion about self-care, when several students shared how having access to these items helped them feel more confident at school. It has allowed us to focus more on learning because students feel prepared and supported throughout the day. We first needed a lesson on how to use some of the items and where they go when we are done with them, but the students have done really well with handling the items appropriately.
