This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Using scholastic news magazines for my social studies curriculum will help students learn in different ways. These magazines will help my students by having them read the articles, comprehend and answer higher order thinking questions,, and also utilizing the videos that comes with the magazines. I was fortunate enough to be able to use scholastic news for my social studies classroom. The student were very entertained and enjoyed reading the magazines. It also helps the students see the current events going on in the world.

I will use these magazines on a monthly basis in order to increase student understanding and comprehension.
