Extending Learning With STEM Materials.

My students need materials to enhance their STEM skills. I feel that students will be able to build their skills through creating and exploring with SnapCircuits and learn about gravity with marble runs.

My Students

I have a great group of fifth graders that are ready for learning through many different engaging ways. Many of the students love working with hands-on activities and absolutely thrive when technology is present in their learning. They arrive each day excited to learn and try new things.

My fifth grade crew is curious and they ask great questions that encourage a deeper level of thinking.

I am always looking for ways for them to show off what they know and what they want to learn.

My Project

My students love learning with something in their hands. All of these materials will allow them to learn with their hands and explore through STEM. The skyrail marble run will allow students to use their creativity to create runs while working with gravity. They will have to solve challenges using critical thinking and find ways to keep the marble on the run the longest without it stopping. Students will use the SnapCircuits to create electric connections to make a motor run or create an AM radio.

The importance of STEM in schools is growing and these materials will engage my students in the world of STEM.

These materials will allow the students to create a cooperative learning environment as students will work together to make successful creations. By supporting this project you will be creating a positive learning opportunities for my current and future 5th grade students.
