My Project

I am very lucky in that I get to teach my students for two years in a row. They first take a college writing prep class with me as a junior, and then they get to take dual credit as a senior. Because of this, I really get to learn about who they are as individual people, both inside and outside of the classroom. The books that I chose for this project were chosen with specific students, needs, and units in mind.

I have a diverse group of learners who deserve to be equally challenged in the ways that will help them grow as individual learners.

I chose books that I know some of my reluctant readers will latch onto, as well as some books that my avid readers can pick up and extend their research on their own. Through the help of Donors Choose, I am able to provide the individualized resources such as these to my students!
