The noise pollution from the new, very loud furniture was overwhelming, and the leg pads almost completely fixed that problem. While that seems like such a small inconvenience, it really impacted our day-to-day life and focus. Additionally, the ability to clean our room not only gives us peace of mind, but it has also reduced the anxiety of cold and flu season. These foam rollers and stick rollers will give them access to recovery tools that many have never used before. Proper recovery helps reduce soreness, improve flexibility, prevent injuries, and teach students the importance of taking care of their bodies after exercise.\r\nWith classes of 40–50 students rotating through stations every day, these tools will be used constantly to support warm-ups, cooldowns, and recovery during strength training. They will help students feel better physically, recover faster, and stay more engaged in healthy activity both in and out of school.\r\nBeyond athletics, this project teaches lifelong wellness habits. The sandbags have become one of the most versatile tools in our room—students use them for carries, squats, presses, and stability drills. Because sandbags shift and move while being lifted, they help students develop real-world strength, balance, and coordination in a way that traditional weights can't. They've also been especially helpful for beginners who feel more confident starting with soft, non-metal equipment before progressing to barbells.\r\n\r\nThe weightlifting belts have boosted both safety and performance. Many students in our large classes are new to lifting, and the belts give them valuable support during heavier squats and deadlifts. With better core bracing and proper body mechanics, students are lifting with more confidence and fewer form errors.
