Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are vibrant learners who use their art room to express themselves creatively and immerse themselves in the world of art. Visiting the art room once a week for only 45 minutes can be a challenge for most, but my K-5 use their valuable time to create amazing visual projects.
My students have innovative ideas that keep me on my toes and constantly learning from them.
The skill of creativity can be applied to so many aspects of a child's life are constantly mastering their skills.
My Project
Thank you so much for considering funding our project! In my district, my students LOVE to create. Due to Covid, we have been virtually creating art together and focusing on Social and Emotional Learning that come from our HEARTS! To help our families, I distributed the rest of the art supplies that I had in my classroom to allow students to continue to make art at home.
Due to Covid, our department did not receive our annual budget and I am unable to purchase more supplies to help our students.
As my district looks to go hybrid, I am hoping to restock my now-empty classroom with individualized Covid friendly art kits filled with more crayons, paper, markers, and pencils to allow our students to continue safety creating art from their heart. Thank you so much!
