My Project

My Young Five students come to school each day with fascinating stories that, to adults, are make-believe, but to them are real adventure stories. They still live in that magical world of imagination. All too often, we see that sense of wonder and imagination diminish as they move through the years. I've just finished planning a unit to teach students about the power of imagination in solving problems and considering other perspectives.

Play silks provide endless opportunities to explore the world of imagination.

In the hands and mind of a 5-year-old, play silk becomes the sky, a river, a mountain, a magical cape, wings, or anything else they can dream up!
