Your gift has made a meaningful difference in our school community.\r\nSince the program began, students have had a welcoming space to practice everyday social interactions — greeting customers, taking orders, and delivering coffee to staff. These simple routines create natural opportunities for students to open up to adults, build confidence, and form trusting relationships with school staff. For many learners who struggle with speech or social communication, participating in the Coffee Shop has been a gentle, real‑world way to practice speaking, sequencing tasks, and using polite conversation. We've seen shy students gain clarity in their speech, try new words, and carry themselves with more assurance.\r\nBeyond the measurable skill growth, the Mustang Coffee Shop brings something equally important: joy. Each week the smiles it produces — from students proudly presenting a cup to a teacher, to staff receiving a thoughtful delivery — brighten our halls and strengthen the sense of community. Those small moments of connection ripple outward, improving classroom climate, increasing student engagement, and reminding everyone that kindness and collaboration matter.\r\nYour support helped launch and sustain a program that teaches practical skills, fosters relationships, and builds confidence — all while creating smiles across campus. This Fall, four girls collaborated to proudly build our puzzle table one exclaiming: \"I didn't know I could put together something so big with tools\". Your donations to this project have made a major impact on the students' inquiry and creative skills. \r\n\r\nSince adding the 3D printer to our library, I have had it printing something almost every day. I started by printing high-interest objects, such as fidget toys, vases, bowls, dragons, and dinosaurs. Then, starting with 5th-grade students, we worked on the program TinkerCad to design our own keychains. Now, students can design whatever they'd like and submit a form to me to get their object printed. Students have since experimented with their own dragons, pencil holders, and a variety of custom figurines. With the holidays coming, many are working on designs for ornaments and small custom gifts for loved ones.\r\n\r\nI will introduce 3D design to 4th graders this spring, and they will have the same privileges that the 5th graders currently enjoy. I'm already excited to see how this year's 4th grade students will do next year as 5th graders when they already have some design skills to start the year! \r\n\r\nI have a group of about 8 5th-grade students who are submitting designs for printing nearly every week. And several of my reluctant participants are now starting to get excited about the idea of printing and are engaging more.\r\n\r\nThis project has also allowed me to build positive relationships with the students. I make sure to get excited when one of their prints finishes, and I enjoy supporting students as they work through design complications and ideas. \r\n\r\nThank you so much again for helping with this project and redefining what a library can do for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1756956415375,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-school-print/9644314/","projectTitle":"Help Our School Print!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Schultze","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10219507_orig.jpg?crop=1280,1280,x320,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1756231573913","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10219507"},{"teacherId":9330911,"projectId":9319831,"letterContent":"Thank you, thank you, thank you for your wonderful donations to help my students stay nourished and hydrated throughout the day. \r\n\r\nMy students love that before starting work they are allowed to get ice water or juice with ice in it.
