I teach an amazing group of 3rd grade students! I have 50 students that come into my room everyday with an excitement for learning. My students have a love for science especially. They come from many different backgrounds and are all at different academic levels. In my class, there is a wide range of personalities, but the one thing in common with all my students is they enjoy learning with hands on material.
My goal, as their teacher, is to provide them with positive learning experiences in school, and for them to gain a lasting love for reading and science.
Art is one of the many ways my students express themselves. Sadly most of them don't have access to arts and crafts materials at home or at school. Currently, my school doesn't offer any art specials class for the elementary grades. They would love to be able to have a paint project for one of their assignments. Also, my students will use these art materials to use their imaginations and creativity. Students will be able to have an art day in class to paint what they choose. They will be able to process their emotions and feelings while having fun!
