My students need a globe so they can see and hear about the countries we explore in our stories and in social studies.

My Students

Can you imagine learning about the world around you without being able to see what you are learning about? Kindergarten students are very visual and hands on and need something they can see, touch, and hear to learn concepts. Our old globe is not current and desperately needs to be replaced.

We are a kindergarten class in a low income school in Northeast Tennessee.

We have fourteen students who come from diverse backgrounds. Our class is very energetic and inquisitive. They love to explore and learn about the world. We are getting ready to start a unit about going around the world and this globe would be a great asset to their learning.

My Project

If our students receive this globe it will greatly heighten their excitement in learning about cultures and the world around them. They will be able to explore and learn about all parts of the world in a way that is interactive, and that is a very important component of the learning process at this age.

This globe would make a huge difference in the way these and future kindergarten students learn about the world around them.

It would give them a chance to be interactive with the learning process and let them see a globe that does not still say Russia. This would open up many more avenues of exploration for them.
