Exploring the World Through STEM

My Students

My Kindergarten students come from all walks of life and on varying levels, educationally. There is a large spectrum of socioeconomic backgrounds. We have a large number of military families. More than half of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch.

When they walk into my classroom, they are a family of learners.

We teach the children ways to use their own creativity to create projects while building confidence to attempt new things. The children utilize iPads in the classroom to learn about technology but lack the tools to use their creativity through technology. I'd love to provide the children with opportunities to explore STEM more in depth.

My Project

My Kindergartners currently use iPads in the class. They work in programs connected to our math and literacy curriculum, but they do not have anything to challenge their creativity. The Osmo kits will allow the children to utilize their iPads in a whole new way. The children will use their hands and minds to solve problems and challenge their abilities. The future relies on technology. My Kindergartners will have a great start to a successful future with the Osmo Genius Kit. I believe the children will love utilizing this form of learning and that it will help them to become lifelong learners!
