Help me give my students a library that consists of 40 new titles that reflect diversity, expand their knowledge, and teaches them how to productive citizens.

My Project

My current group of students are eager to learn about the world that is around them. After reading, students love telling how those stories relate to them in their personal lives. By adding these books to our library, the students will see successful figures and characters that they can strive to emulate or become. They will also have books that depict imagines of people that resemble their family, friends and community. The goal is to give them books that will peak curiosity and spark imaginations.

Many of my students will never get the opportunity to leave outside the state.

Some will never get a chance to leave their city. Katrina Mayer, "stated that a book is a magical thing that lets you travel to far away places, without ever leaving your chair." It is important that our classroom has a wide range of books for the students to explore and allow their minds to take them far.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
