My Students

Wow, where do I begin? One of the main things I love about my students are the way they are so optimistic about the school year starting back-up so we can continue our drumline season. These kids have had to endure a school year ending abruptly due to Covid-19, and to work remotely this entire school year is a truely amazing. Even though my 8th graders are not going to have a drumline season this year, they are still eager to help train the 6th, and 7th graders for next year.

My students have become the musical ambassadors of the community, and for the community.

Many of them have the talents to do so much, but not the neccesary resources or opportunities to display these talents. When we travel to different cities and perform at a variety of events. they represent the communities they are from with respect, discipline, and musicianship.

My Project

This new marching snare drum will give our group a sound like professional drumlines that consist of older kids. During the past 12 years this group has practiced for hundreds of hours, and has traveled to countless cities, and states. With so much wear and tear on our current drums, they are in need of constant repair.

With this new edition to our current drums, the kids will really see that hard work, and dedication does pay off when donors such as yourselves assist in the purchasing of new drums to assist in their continued success in music.
