Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are eager to learn. Developing their understanding of other cultures, allows them have more meaningful interactions with those around them. Teaching about different cultures allows me to build respect and empathy for other people, and celebrating their differences as well as our similarities.

The books and decor from Amazon will help me to teach my students about the Chinese New Year.

It will give them a glimpse of how other cultures celebrate the New Year. Through reading and implementing cultural activities found in the TPT storefront, my students will have a better understanding of traditions in Chinese culture.

Learning about different cultural backgrounds will allow my students to understand and appreciate other people’s ethnicity. Engaging them in multicultural experiences will allow them to participate in new activities, taste new food, and experience a vast range of things that they haven't been exposed to.
