This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Even though our students are all on different levels, they come together when sharing there love of being creative. Each project displays what they see which is different from what we see. It’s a wonderful thing seeing their eyes light up as they finish their projects. The vibrant colors seems to initiate a calmness and they take pride in their work.
When our students are having a hard time expressing themselves, the colors and textures of the art supplies requested will provide a calm release for them.
At the same time they are able to work on their dexterity.
There are times when our students become over stimulated by their environment so the bean bags will provide a safe and comforting place for them to reset.
