Help me give my students the joy of exploring the world around them through science with a Swing Ride Building Set, hydroponics lab, and subscription to Science World.
My students are from a rural, southern Louisiana area. They are eager to learn new things and know the importance of a great education. Students range in ages from 11-14 years old, which is the most important age for building a lifelong foundation for the love of learning.
These students are aware of the ever-growing need for a college degree.
Cooperative learning groups help my students to retain information longer. The benefits of collaborating with peers are endless. The skills acquired through socializing are beneficial to everyone.
My Project
Science classes provide a place where students can discover and explore things in real life. Most people are born with a natural curiosity about life and sadly this diminishes over time for most. The activities and lessons that are provided in my science classes will hopefully keep these students curious for a lifetime.
The articles that will be funded through this project will assist with keeping the students current on science issues that are present in today's society.
These articles are great because they address the way this generation of students are learning. They also provide the necessary resources for students to get familiar with science data. The hydrolab and hydroponics lab are great tools for students to explore the possibilities for growing organic foods.
