Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I bet you do not remember how you learned to love science and how you learned to cherish the world around you. Well, I bet it started in a Kinder class where your teacher found fun and educational ways to teach you to make observations by using the five senses.
My students are bilingual students who learn both English and Spanish.
Our science is taught in both languages and sometimes it is challenging to capture their attention. Tools like the ones I am requesting will make these five-year-olds exited to explore and learn about science.
My Project
These kits are designed to help students learn in a vibrant and unique way. Science is a subject that students are in need of for their future. These kits will enhance their learning and bring about happy and memorable experiences. One of the activities they will do is to grow plants in our garden and wait for days as they grow. Can you imagine a Kinder class walking around making observations and writing or drawing pictures of what they are observing every day? How much fun are they going to have learning?
I hope that you will consider donating to our classroom.
Our students will love walking around with magnifying glasses and will enjoy working together to make plants grow. I thank you for your help.
