Our school serves students in grades K-5 and provides rigorous academics, excellent teachers and a safe learning environment. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in elementary school. My students are dreamers, thinkers, and excellent math, science and social studies learners.
I spending my days sharing my love of math and science with my second grade students.
I have been finding teaching is a challenging career which will bring my personal satisfaction, making it more than worth the effort.
This project is designed to assist students in my classroom to receive exposure to a variety of new experiences using excellent learning tools. First of all, my second graders are mandated to interact with online individualized learning applications, which are designed to provide remediation as well as support for grade level standards. The issue is that, although we have older desktop computers available, there are no headphones currently available. This tremendously impacts the focus levels for my students in a negative manner.
By equipping students with headphones and privacy booths, they will be able to focus and interact positively with their individually prescribed online lesson!
I am certain that this will positively impact their overall learning experience, resulting in improved student achievement. I would also love to share with students a hands-on exploration of our world! Using the giant world map and write erase markers, students will gain a valuable hands-on experience that they will never forget.
