My Project

Let's explore Chinese New Year in kindergarten for a full week and not just a single day.

Every year we learn a little about the Chinese culture and Lunar new year. Lat year we made red envelopes to celebrate Lunar new year and we would like to continue this tradition and create new hands on traditions as well. We would like to continue our tradition of sharing red envelopes with a friend and extend Lunar new year for a full week. These books, decorative tissue, games, and playdoh will help immerse the students in understanding Chinese culture as well as exploring through sensory items like wooded food play sets and playdoh to make lantern. With collab-kinder, it is important to have multiple activities for kiddos to immerse themselves and enjoy a new culture. These items help immerse my students into a Chinese New Year unit, rather than just touching on the celebration for one day.
