This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The enthusiasm I see in my students when they go outside in nature to look for things to view under a microscope is contagious and exciting! With this digital microscope, groups of students will take turns to prepare slides and share their observations with their classmates in class through our TV screen.

The best part about this digital microscope is that we can also view live organisms such as amoebas, and react to their movements & interactions together as a class!

Having the digital screen on this microscope makes it easier for groups to discuss what they see and draw their observations. We will be using this microscope throughout our Cells Unit in which they will be exploring all the different types of cells that make up living things!
