This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, funny, and hard-working. They are creative and enthusiastic. Our school is located in the heart of the city. It is one of the oldest schools here, and it is surely loved by everyone who's been attending. We make everybody feel at home, and most of our kids are provided with free breakfast and lunch due to the fact that they live at the highest level of poverty. We have noticed an unhappy trend taking place for the last couple of years, with no funding for creative projects and supplies.

My Project

My 6th graders love science and make me very proud of them!

They are so much into discovering, investigating, and testing because it is the best way to learn!

We are looking into taking some precise measurements during our scientific experiments with heat. Regular kitchen thermometers are the best for our project- they are easy to use and accurate. They will allow us to collect data, analyze it, and study the trends. The concept of heat transfer is quite exciting, and this year we would like to make use of some measuring tools in addition to our senses. Please allow us learn difficult concepts while having fun!
