This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my high school chemistry classroom, we go beyond textbooks to bring science to life. This year, I’m excited to introduce my students to the wonders of space science, astrochemistry, and the electromagnetic spectrum. To make these lessons interactive and engaging, we need small amplifiers, remote controls, lamps, RGB bulbs, and a UV radiation kit.

With these tools, students will explore concepts like color emission, wave behavior, and the interaction of light and matter.

They'll simulate the effects of radiation, experiment with wave frequencies, and discover the chemistry that drives phenomena in space. These hands-on experiences will inspire critical thinking and deepen their understanding of both science and the universe.
