Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project will provide the supplies needed to host a cross-curricular Specials Night celebrating Black History Month for our students and families. Students will rotate through engaging stations that highlight Black history through reading, art, music, and computer science.

Requested materials include books, markers, colored pencils, glitter markers, paint pens, and paint sticks to support creative expression, scissors and organizational materials to help keep activities accessible and student-friendly, rocks for painting to create meaningful Black history art projects and tablecloths to prepare welcoming, functional workspaces.

Displays for books and step-by-step “how to draw” directions will help guide students as they explore Black history through literature and visual art.

These materials will ensure every student and family member can participate fully in hands-on, meaningful activities that celebrate Black history, creativity, and community learning.
