Exploring and Learning Math Skills

My Students

I am returning to the classroom!! My students will be fourth graders at a small rural Minnesota classroom. I have worked with some of these students in the past as a Title one teacher.

These incoming fourth graders are a mixture of abilities, learning styles and skill levels.

Some are ELL students, title one learners, special education students, on level learners, and advanced learners. Some of these students excel in one subject area but struggle with another.

I want to build math stations so that students can explore, review, and learn at their own pace. I want math to be a more hands on and visual class.

My Project

I want my students to explore math concepts and skills during workshop time. I want students to be able to review and practice skills that have been taught in the classroom. Students need hands on and real life experience with math skills to make them relevant to their lives and their future. Some of the games will help student realize that even out of the classroom setting, math skills are used for fun and games.

By donating to this project, you will be helping students become more comfortable and successful at math skills.

These supplies will allow students to explore and learn at their own pace. They can practice the skills that they need.
