Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am a pre-k teacher in a low-income area and Title I school. My class is made up of 20 children, ages ranging from 3-5 years old. These kids are always so much fun and love to learn and play!

Preschool children love to express themselves artistically!

These materials will add to our art area, giving them the opportunity to explore many types of art media.

My Project

The materials that I have requested in this project will make a wonderful addition to the ones we currently have in our art zone. With the addition of acrylic and watercolor paints, they will experience how different paint is used differently. They will also be able to expand on their vocabulary skills to have meaningful conversations about the type of paint they like the best, why they prefer that type of media, how it is similar or different from the others, etc.

The children that I work with love to paint, draw, create, and explore!

These materials will allow them to use high-quality art supplies and create art pieces that they will love and be proud of!
