Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I’m a pre school teacher and my children’s range in age from 4-5 years old. I really enjoy their creative ideas and how they share with each other. In my classroom I have different areas like a creative area, a block area, an art area, a writing area, a library, and a science area. I teach children with disabilities, some who are in foster care and even some who are homeless. I have 33 years working with children and have enjoyed every moment that I've spent with them. Thanks!
My Project
We will be using daily calendar so that my students learn numbers, days of the week, and months of the year. The color and number boards will help us learn to count and learn colors on a daily basis. The facial part is so that they can draw their expressions of how they are feeling for the day. By the end of the year, these children are ready for kindergarten because they know and recognize colors, numbers, and especially learn to write their names.
So, when my kindergarten students move further on, all parents will be proud that they have learned what is expected when they move on to kindergarten.
