Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

For the school year 2024-2025 I will have the privilege to teach 3rd grade Dual Language students. As a second language learner myself I understand the importance of having not only a good instruction but also the necessary visuals to understand math in two languages. For this reason I am requesting Math manipulatives especially for our newcomers students.

My goal for this project is to create a inclusive classroom wherein the large number of newcomers students we are having lately feel welcome and confidents by using manipulatives to express their knowledge if verbally they are not ready yet.

I am excited for next school year where I will have the opportunity to have a group of very special students that I am sure have a lot to contribute to others and they just need the support and opportunity to show that they can be very successful in school.
