This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative and thrive with hands-on learning. They have had so many school experiences taken away from them in the last couple of years due to the pandemic. I am trying to create fun learning opportunities while maintaining high standards.

Using various household materials like cups, sticky notes, push pin tacks, yarn, index cards, labels, straws, pipe cleaning, light bulb, paper clips, etc.

students will build STEM-like experiments to accompany the Next Generation Science Standards. Our district has great access to lessons which makes it a little easier for teachers. However, in order to make these lessons come alive we'll need lots of materials so their learning can solidify.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
