Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are looking to add a variety of books for 2 major book club units in our class--Social Issues and Science Fiction/Fantasy. Through these units, we learn about various social groups, as well as the issues and challenges that people face due to the social groups they belong to.

Books help us to step into the shoes of these individuals and see the world from a different perspective--one that may be drastically different than our own.

During each unit of study, students will work in book clubs to read several books and participate in engaging discussions that help us to explore each text.
