Expanding Our 600s: Books Exploring Robots, Space, Vehicles, and Beyond

Help me give my students about 20 new library books about Robots, Space, Vehicles, and more.

My Project

Many of our students love nonfiction science books, but our 600s or Applied Sciences Section of our library is about six years older than recommended. Students are always requesting more science books about space, vehicles, and more. Research shows that the more people read what they choose to read the better they do in so many areas of life. My students will love having more updated, engaging science books. Students will be thrilled to check out these books.

Students are always searching for books about space, cars, and more and then asking me if we have any other books on these topics because they want more!

With this project, we will be able to continue updating our 600s or Applied Sciences section to meet the reading interests and needs of our students who want to explore and research and learn about many science topics. By ordering from a special company, these books will come processed and cataloged and ready to check out! Many of the books will also have a special binding that will help them hold up to the many, many check outs they will get in our library! I can't wait to see how thrilled my students will be by these science books that will encourage students from all levels to read!

I created a DO NOT EXCEED list with Mackin so they will pull books from the list until they get to the funding limit. If you want to know some of the possible books we could add to our collection, please see below:
