My Project

Vocabulary acquisition is a critical component in reading comprehension. My students use the vocabulary routine and Log to build their vocabularies.

My students love using colorful index cards and pens to create their personalized Vocabulary Logs.

The tangible nature of index cards encourages students to actively participate in building their vocabulary and provides fun learning experience. They love using colorful pens to write which motivates them to write down words, definitions, and examples on index cards. Index cards act as flash cards which promotes active recall and the interactive nature of flash cards makes it more engaging.
