Expanding Learning Beyond Classroom Walls!

Help me give my students authentic and engaging art and sensory learning experiences outside of the classroom in our school garden!

My Project

We are so fortunate to have a lovely enclosed space for a school garden. Parent and student volunteers have been hard at work to clean up and maintain the space with usable planting beds and plentiful benches for seating. It's a beautiful space with a lot of potential for classrooms to utilize for whole group and small group learning activities outside of the classroom!

We are looking to add some engaging outdoor art and sensory items to encourage the use of this space for our Preschool through Fifth Grade classes!

Providing a mud kitchen and painting easels would be essential for all grade levels to enjoy this space and allow all students to be engaged in meaningful and authentic activities that also allow teachers to use the garden for whole and small group learning experiences.

We are so hopeful we can create this enticing space to expand students' learning beyond the walls of the classroom to appreciate and engage with nature!
