My Project

It’s no secret that there is a literacy crisis in this nation, and that will only continue if students don’t have access to books. Many of my classroom library’s current books are worn, outdated, or no longer engaging, which discourages students from browsing and interacting.

A large number of my students don’t have books at home, so it is imperative that they have access to high-interest, relatable books they can read at school or borrow!

With your support, we can refresh our library with interesting, diverse, fun, and age-appropriate books that will inspire students to read for both learning and pleasure, all while helping them cultivate both a love and mastery of reading.

These new books will help build stronger readers while creating a welcoming space where students feel excited to choose a book and read. Thank you for helping us build a library where every student can find a book they can’t wait to read!
