Help me give my students an enhanced classroom library. These books are listed as some of the 100 most popular for middle school age kids. Such titles as the Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, Anne Frank, etc.
I am so grateful to the donors of www.donorschoose.org for supplying my original classroom library. After seeing what kids were looking for I am seeking to expand the library to include more popular middle school titles, such as the Hunger Games, Percy Jackson, Charles Dickens, Anne Frank, etc. I want to be able to expose my students to both contemporary and classic literature acceptable for middle schoolers. I hope this will spark the love of reading in them that it did in me as a middle schooler.
We have a regular weekly "Drop Everything and Read" events that gets the students reading uninterrupted for at least 15 minutes.
They need access to great book selections throughout the middle school and I want to be one to provide it. Working in a high school that had a middle school added to it, our library is geared towards older students. My library will have titles more appropriate for middle school aged students.
