Expand the Joy of Learning With Chromebooks for Second Graders
Help me give my students 3 touchscreen Chromebooks to use technology as a learning tool. They will be used for typing practice, digital research projects, and online reading and math programs.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I love having the opportunity everyday to experience the joy and wonder of the world through the eyes of my amazing students!
It's so rewarding to hear their questions and observations as we discuss and connect a variety of concepts in literacy, math, social studies, and science. I love to give my students a variety of ways to explore and learn about the world around them. We use literature, music, art, and a variety of projects to expand our minds and learn something new everyday! I would like my students see how much more they can grow and learn by having access to technology. Having access to technology as a tool in the classroom will give my students more opportunities to build skills that will help them as they continue to grow in their education. My students will learn beginning typing skills, and will have many opportunities to research, and create digital projects to share what they learn.
My Project
My goal is to help my students learn how technology can be used to help them develop new skills, and have access to a variety of information.
My students will see how technology can add to what we learn in the classroom.
The Chromebooks will be used as an additional resource to practice math skills daily. The online programs we will use allows us the opportunity to create online math assignments that meet the learning needs of individual students.
The Chromebooks will also be used to practice typing skills. My students will use these typing skills to create final draft versions of their writing projects.
Finally, the Chromebooks will help my students learn how to safely search for information when they participate in research projects.
