I am requesting books about executive functioning skills. These skills are necessary for students to learn to become independent, well-adjusted, and successful adults. As teachers, we need to be intentional about teaching these skills. I want to make sure I have research-based strategies to help my students learn things like organization, memory retention, time management, emotion regulation, and flexibility. These books will help me to develop my professional practice to better serve my students. As a teacher of twenty years, I need to stay relevant with the most current, research-based strategies.
