Help me give my students various social emotional learning materials that will help support them with feeling relaxed, calm, and comfortable inside the classroom.

My Project

My students are a dynamic group of 4th and 5th graders who want to do their best to work on and achieve their academic goals. With that in mind, many of them benefit from extra social emotional learning resources to help them stay motivated and keep up the strong effort during each school day. The goal of my project is to make these materials available in my classroom. The Calm Strips will help students who need a fidget toy have a quiet one at their desk. The Learning Conversation Cubes will be used to help students practice talking to others who they may not usually talk to. The 3 Book Set, which includes The Magical Yet, will be a great set of read alouds that will teach students valuable lessons. The seating cushions will allow student chairs to be softer, and will also give them an extra place to sit at our Calming Corner. Students are very excited about our classroom library, and The Bad Guys set is something they will be reading all of the time. Lastly, the tissues and Clorox wipes will help support a clean and healthy classroom during sick season.
