Exciting Books to Excite My Readers!

My students need rich print books to broaden their reading experiences. Stellaluna, The Little Reindeer and I Don't Want to be a Frog are just a few examples of these text rich books my students need.

My Students

My students are wonderful first graders who have a zest for life and love to learn! I am lucky enough to teach in an amazing school with wonderful students. My first graders range in many different reading levels and parental support. Some of my students are excellent readers and need very little support and some of my students are struggling readers and need a lot of support from me and others.

I am always looking for more ways to engage my students in learning and new ways to help learning be more fun for them!

Many of my students get help at home from their parents and many of my students lack that support at home.

My Project

My students will benefit from these text rich books that will go along with the units I will be teaching in class. This project will allow my students to have access to these books, not only to hear me read the stories to them, but also to allow my students to read them and have the books to look at.

My students are emerging readers and would love the opportunity to read these books to themselves and to others in my classroom who need more assistance to become readers.

We would use these books to read in whole group setting and the children would also have opportunities to read them in the reading center.
