My Students

My students are energetic, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to connect classroom activities to the real world! They used to come to school each day excited about what was going to happen in class. Their ah-ha moments were the reasons that I became a teacher.

With the sudden shift to remote learning, many of my students are saying how difficult it is to complete assignments at home or that they just can't see the connection anymore.

Every student in my classes loves learning, they love working out problems, and they love the feeling of knowing they are receiving the same level of resources as some of the surrounding schools. They feel that they matter and I want to help them feel that way again, specially during this changing school climate.

My Project

I am the only middle school science teacher in the state of Delaware that includes dissections as part of their curriculum. As my students explore life science, what better way to learn about the anatomy, than to get right into it. These dissection kits will help my students experience science as it was meant to be. Hands on and in your face, even my remote students will be able to experience the dissection through the use of my document camera. No one will be left out of this once in a life time opportunity.
