My students need a class set (30) of "Everything You Need to Ace Science in One Big Fat Notebook: The Complete Middle School Study Guide" to ACE science!
My students are seventh graders in a diverse community. They are smack dab in the middle of the transition between middle and high schools. They come from various socio-economic classes. Many of the students in the district do not have a means of providing necessary school supplies, so the teachers become responsible for purchasing enough for them to get by. The students look to their teachers for much more than just supplies. For many of them, school is their safe haven. Their teachers are the only positive role models that they have to look up to. I feel it is necessary to make each day unique and provide my students with as many experiences as possible. This is only possible through various types of instruction which unfortunately requires resources many teachers aren't provided with. Your donations make it possible for teachers to broaden the horizons of their students through differentiated instruction.
My Project
Everyone wants an "A"! Providing my students with every possible resource needed to be successful is a never ending mission. This book entitled "Everything You Need to Ace Science in One Big Fat Notebook: The Complete Middle School Study Guide" is wonderful!
These books contain a well thought out/targeted approach to all of the science concepts covered at the middle school level!
If my students and I receive a class set of this title, we will leave them in the classroom for everyone to benefit from daily. They will be a wonderful supplement to the Interactive Science Notebooks that the students create throughout the year. They are using these in a 7th Grade Social Studies classroom this year, and I would love to have them in science as well. The students would have exposure to the layout and contents and would really prosper seeing what's addressed in class in yet another way. Variety is the spice of life!
