Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Your donation to a smart tv will go a long way in helping my students enjoy learning more. My goal is to change the traditional way of learning reading, writing, and math to make it more visually appealing by adding videos and pictures to lessons and displaying engaging and interactive academic games. This will encourage my students to share their work, collaborate, discuss, and listen to feedback from their peers.
My students in special education have challenges accessing grade level content in their general education classroom.
They are also learning English as a second language. They work extremely hard and work consistently trying their best to be at grade level. Our community school is often the safest and most stable place in their lives when they are experiencing a variety of problems such as house difficulties, violence, and neglect.
My job as a special educator is to differentiate the content and how it is being delivered to make learning more comprehensible. A smart TV is an accommodation that will help my students achieve that goal.
