My Project

This school year has been challenging in many ways. These children went through the pandemic as toddlers and preschoolers--many were denied opportunities to socialize with peers or play with age mates. Due to this, we have been experiencing some especially BIG feelings our classroom. Working on calming down through different techniques has been very helpful.

A calm down area with the canopy as a visual separation, items to hold and use to chill out and headphones for soft music!

Students will be able to retreat to this area, use a visual timer to adjust their stay and use these materials to take a break before rejoining our activity.
