Your support has made a meaningful difference, especially as we welcome kindergarteners to the program for the first time. \r\n\r\nThanks to your thoughtful contribution, we were able to add new toys and learning materials that are not only fun, but also support the developmental and sensory needs of our students. These resources help foster creativity, communication, and social skills—critical areas of growth for children in special education. It's truly heartwarming to see our students light up with excitement and curiosity as they explore the new items.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has helped us start this school year with the tools we need to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom. This type of project based learning is wonderful for the kids in my program.\r\n\r\nWorking with kindergarten through third grade special education kids is so rewarding and being gifted the tools that get them excited about learning is a blessing that I cannot adequately express. We are past our winter art projects but we will get to use them for making \"the Mitten\" art project next winter. Students will punch holes around the outside of the mitten and then weave string to 'sew' their mitten together. I cannot tell you how great these have helped my kindergarteners this year. They are getting adept at using them to enhance their understanding of addition and subtraction. They love the hands-on nature of the little tools and like clicking the wooden beads back and forth. In fact, we have used them so frequently that they now can use them when working independently on math worksheets (pictures show this). We got to make the Crayon Melt Art because of your amazing generosity. Each student gets to hold the heat gun and melt as little or much as they like. Some melted until there were no nubs of crayons left! The results are beautiful and also reinforce what we have learned about adding heat to a solid to make it melt. \r\n\r\nThank you again for providing the materials for this STEAM activity. The colors are so bright, the pictures are so sturdy, and the size is so perfect for a group of kids to do it together! Watching them problem solve it was fascinating. I heard one girl say \"I never do puzzles--we don't have any at home!\" and another \"look, I found the bee's butt!\" (pardon our language). \r\n\r\nThey were cooperative, engaged and excited--and so proud of themselves when they finished it! Already, they have gotten it back out again (20+ minutes later) to do it again. Even my shyest student who cannot speak English was engaged, helping match pictures and pointing. \r\n\r\nThe smaller puzzles are great for pairs or individuals too! They are challenging for early puzzlers but still engaging for experienced puzzle doers. The animals are so vivid and bright! I'm delighted to have these to incorporate into our insect and community helper units. \r\n\r\nThank you for supporting my classroom and public schools. Already these are making a difference in our reading groups-the items are so fun to use and engaging, some of my students who are reluctant readers get very excited to be part of this group. \r\n\r\nThe Instant Learning center is a tile game that helps them work on beginning and ending sounds and its very hands-on. The colors are bright and the pictures are very clear. The students really enjoy it! They ask to do the 'bag' game because the tiles are packed in different color bags !\r\n\r\nThe other tool is the CVC match set and it had been great too. The little tactile circles help the students remember to touch each letter before blending their words--something we just keep working on. \r\n\r\nThank you again--tools like these are just so helpful. Now that the students know the activities, I can ask an aide or volunteer to work with them on it, and it goes smoothly because the items are so purposefully designed. \r\n\r\nIt means so much to me to have your support for my early readers.
