Every Voice Matters in Science

Help me give my students a voice in science! A QBall microphone will increase participation, accessibility, and equity by ensuring every student’s ideas, questions, and scientific thinking can be heard.

My Project

In my classroom, every student has something valuable to contribute, but not every student has an equal opportunity to be heard. Students who are quieter, hesitant to speak, or need additional support can easily become listeners instead of active participants.

I am requesting a QBall wireless classroom microphone to help change that.

The QBall will allow students to pass a microphone during class discussions, science investigations, presentations, and collaborative activities so everyone can clearly hear the student speaking. This gives all students greater access to their classmates' ideas.

This is about more than making the classroom louder. It is about giving students a voice and creating equitable access to participation.

In science, students explain their thinking, make observations, ask questions, and communicate evidence. I want every student to know their ideas deserve to be heard. The QBall will help students confidently share their thinking while encouraging classmates to actively listen and learn from one another.

The microphone will also support students who may have difficulty hearing classroom discussions by making student voices clearer and more consistent.

My goal is to build a classroom community where students know:
