My Project

Our classroom has access to iPads, and I am personally providing a charging station so they can be ready each day. However, my students need reliable headphones with microphones in order to use Amira, an interactive reading program that listens as students read aloud and responds with individualized support.

Each student will have an assigned headset stored in a color-coded pouch.

This simple system will keep materials clean, organized, and ready for our daily routine: take a pouch, get an iPad, log in through Clever, read with Amira, and return everything for the next reader. A long surge-protector extension strip will provide safe, flexible power access for our charging station.

These materials will turn the iPads we already have into nine meaningful reading stations. With a clear microphone and a comfortable routine, students can practice reading aloud, receive immediate feedback, and grow into more confident readers.
