My Project
As the trend gains momentum, crocheting is not only serving as a personal outlet for these students but also becoming a shared experience. "I've started to notice that so many people are wearing things that are made out of crochet, like I did as a child. My grandmother taught me. Crochet allows students to slow down, focus their minds and create something tangible in a fast-paced academic environment. As many teachers and doctors attest, improvement is noted in:
Fine motor coordination, Reading, Math, Comprehension and Critical thinking and problem-solving.
I want my students to value time. They will learn to understand that every thing takes time and effort. They learn to be patient. Things don't happen overnight. This will also get them away from video games.
