Help me give my students book bins to organize our class books so that each student has a bin to choose from which includes their favorite genre.

My Students

I have 23 first graders in my class. They are a diverse group with a broad range of abilities and backgrounds. This is a fun age to teach because they are so eager to learn!

My students love to read!

I have a variety of books to choose from at all different reading levels. So much knowledge is gained through reading!

It is exciting (and rewarding) to see their overall growth throughout the school year. My hope is that they become lifelong learners!

My Project

With these book bins, my students will be able to choose from an organized selection of books in our classroom library. Each student will have a book bin for independent reading time. The bins will be labeled to help in the selection process. Students will also learn the difference between fiction and non-fiction.

Being organized is a very helpful skill for young learners.

It allows students to have a structured learning environment. It is my hope that these book bins will encourage students to read more and be thankful for the opportunities to read when they are in my classroom.
