My Students

My students are participating in a special program within our school. My Title I school serves about nine hundred students. We also house many special programs. One of the special programs we offer is for gifted learners. This program has around three hundred students in grades six through eight and I teach about 155 of these students.

My students enjoy learning and look forward to being exposed to new material.

They are inquisitive, hard working and are always looking for new challenges. My students also love to play fun and interesting games in their free time and like to give back to the community.

My Project

My students love the wobble chairs! They seem like such a basic need in my class now. I have 7 at the moment and that doesn’t seem like enough anymore. My kids all want to use these chairs. They really do help kids stay focused in class. If I had more chairs, I would have more kids on them. Right now, kids come to class and pick up a wobble chair, if they would like to use it. It would be great to give them more chairs, so more kids could try them out.

I have used the few wobble chairs that I have with my kids with ADHD and focus issues.

I am amazed by what it has done for them in my class. Kids I had as last year who couldn’t complete work in one sitting, now can complete a lot of work. It amazes me that these simple chairs helped my kids who struggled the most last year.

I love how these chairs help students stay focused and active at the same time. The chairs just amaze me.
